Ep. 9: Systems Beat Motivation
Build one automatic training habit — then watch it compound.
A non-negotiable is the single action that, done consistently, moves you forward. Not the dream session — the baseline rep. Start with one skill area only.
Finish this sentence. Read it before every session.
A system without a schedule is just an intention. Once the time is locked, you stop deciding whether to train — you just go.
Your minimum viable session (MVS) is what you commit to even on your worst day — exhausted, busy, low energy. If you do only this, the day still counts.
Why this works: A small system you follow 7/7 beats a big system you follow 3/7. The MVS protects your streak on hard days — and most days you'll exceed it once you've started.
The goal this week is simple: show up. Not the best session — just the session. Check the box for each day you completed at least your MVS.
