The Quiet Edge

The Next-Play Reset

One miss. Next cue. Write the cue before you need it.

Stage 4 Athlete Edition Ep. 6: Staying Locked In After Errors
How to Use This Tool

This is Step 1 only. One short cue. Three events. Next-rep log, not the scoreboard.

  1. This week: Pick one cue, or write yours. Keep it short. Not a speech.
  2. After the miss: Say the cue once. Do not invent a new one in the moment.
  3. After the next rep: Clean, rushed, or still in the last play. That is the data.
  4. Week three: Look at the pattern. Keep the cue that got you into the next play.

Post-error slowing: after a miss, the next response often gets slower even when you try to be fast. The cue is for that window.
