The Quiet Edge

The Trust Cue

One cue. Mid-rep. Let the body run the skill you already trained.

Stage 4 Athlete Edition Ep. 7: Competing Without Overthinking
How to Use This Tool

This is Step 1 only. One short cue you already use when it is working. Three events. Mid-rep log.

  1. This week: Pick one cue, or write yours. Not a new technique. The cue you use when it is working.
  2. Mid-rep: When the checklist starts, say the cue once. Do not add a second sentence.
  3. After the rep: Clean, jammed, or still talking. That is the data.
  4. Week three: Look at the pattern. Keep the cue that let the skill run.

Knowing "just trust it" in the dugout is not the same as mid-swing. The cue is for that gap.

1. Your cue

Try one of these, or write yours.

2. Three events
